Graham is the senior partner of retail and leisure property specialist Chase and Partners, based in central London. He is Past President of the RICS, a Chartered Arbitrator, President and Past Chairman of the Association of Town & City Management, a Freeman of the City of London, Master of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. In his 40 year career he has advised on the development, letting and funding of retail and leisure schemes with a combined value of over £10billion and advised over 40 local authorities. His core activities are as a commercial surveyor, estate agent and consultant in the retail and leisure property, occupational, investment and development market. He also acts as an Expert Witness in the High Court, Lands Tribunal and Planning Inquiries and receives a number of appointments as an Independent Expert and Arbitrator on rent review, service charge, and development profit share disputes. He is a Trustee of the Maritime Heritage Foundation and a Director and Trustee of Alford House a youth club for the disadvantaged in Lambeth. He is also a Trustee and Director of the College of Estate Management, a past External Examiner for both Northumbria and Kingston Universities and a visiting lecturer and Honorary Fellow of London South Bank University. A Trustee since 2014 and elected Chairman in March 2016.

Tricia joined the Trust in May 2017. Her background is in conservation and heritage, having worked for similar organisations such as the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust and Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.

Florence has over fifteen years' experience working in the preservation of the built environment for the public, private and third sector researching heritage significance and advising on practical conservation interventions and design, with an emphasis on publicly accessible cultural heritage. A Trustee since April 2017, she is a full member of the IHBC.

David Shamash

David and his wife bought and restored a derelict house in Floral Street in 1977 and he now lives and works there. He went on to found Covent Garden Group Limited, a property development and investment company that specializes in the restoration of listed buildings. They started with two developments in Covent Garden and other completed developments include Millers Wharf, a large warehouse conversion by St Katherine’s Dock with Terry Farrell as architect, and a five-storey Grade I listed house in Great Pulteney Street in Bath. A Trustee from 2004 to 2010, re-elected 2011. He was elected Vice-Chairman in April 2016.

Elizabeth Bax

Elizabeth has been a resident of Covent Garden for 19 years and is actively involved in the local community. She is a member and Trustee of the Covent Garden Community Association (CGCA), and has served as Hon. Secretary. As current Chair of the CGCA’s Planning Sub-Committee she leads the recognised amenity society for Covent Garden in preparing responses to planning applications and liaising with developers on larger developments.

Chris studied architecture at both the Birmingham and Brighton Schools of Architecture. He joined Purcell Miller Tritton in 1992 and is now a senior principal. He has worked on a wide range of buildings and is experienced in conservation studies, condition surveys and long-term maintenance programmes for historic buildings. A Trustee since 2007.

David’s involvement in Covent Garden began as a youth worker when he organised and led a two-week Objection at the 1971 Covent Garden Public Inquiry which helped prevent the area’s wholesale demolition. He was elected onto the Covent Garden Forum of Representatives (1974-1984) which drew up and saw through the new Covent Garden Action Plan and together with the late Grace Cook, he negotiated with the London Residuary Body and others to set up the Trust. He chaired the Trust’s Environment Sub-Committee and was involved in the two Studies (published in 1997 and 2004) arising from it. He also chairs The Seven Dials Trust. A founder Trustee, he served from 1988 to 1994 and was re-elected in 2012.

Joanna Chambers

Joanna has been responsible for a range of master planning and regeneration work in the UK and overseas, and has extensive experience of development projects, working with delivery agencies and community consultation. She has also developed a particular expertise in open space planning and is a CABE Space Enabler. She is a member of the Regional Management Board (RTPI London) and Deputy Representative on the RTPI General Assembly. A Trustee since 2009.

Hywel joined the staff of the Royal Opera House in June 1994. He is currently Corporate Relations Manager based in the ROH Press and Communications department and supporting Chief Executive Alex Beard's communications strategy. From 1995, in the run up to and during the ROH re-development, he was Community Relations Manager during which time he was a member of the Trust. A Trustee since 2011.

Mark graduated with a Master's degree in Heritage Management from the University of Greenwich and has worked in Estates Policy in the Civil Service and on the management team of a Grade I listed building. He is currently a Museum Curator and has worked in Covent Garden since 1999. A Trustee since 2015.

Paul is Councillor for the Queen's Park ward and has been a Westminster resident since 1973. An expert in public relations with over 20 years of experience, he founded Quatro Public Relations in 2007 and is Chairman of the company. He is a qualified Town Planner and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. A Trustee of the Speakers Corner Trust since 2007, he joined Covent Garden Area Trust as a Trustee in 2017.

Frank was Chief Executive of Jubilee Market Hall for a number of years until his recent retirement. He is a constant supporter of various bodies endeavouring to preserve the character of Covent Garden. Prior to 1983 he owned a small group of estate agencies with special interest in residential development, and acted as a consultant in various property matters. A Trustee from 2004-2010 and since 2013.

Hugh has spent most of his life working in the restaurant industry and owned restaurants in Covent Garden from 1985 to 2007. More recently as Managing Director of CG Restaurants Ltd he came into contact with the Trust whilst overseeing the regeneration of Tuttons. Hugh retired from CG Restaurants in 2013 and now advises start up leisure businesses. A Trustee since 2013.

Louise is one of the three councillors for the St James’ ward which includes Covent Garden and was Lord Mayor of Westminster in 2007-08. She is Deputy Cabinet Member for Adult and Community Services and also serves on the Children and Young People Policy and Scrutiny Committee and the Planning Applications sub-committee. A Trustee since 2007.

Sue Vincent

Sue is Councillor for the Holborn and Covent Garden ward and a former deputy leader and cabinet member for Planning, Transport & the Environment for the London Borough of Camden. Since 1989 she has been working in the field of urban design training, partnership building and planning. Sue is also currently a Director of Dragon Hall Trust, an urban oasis for diversionary youth activities in Covent Garden and a Director of the Covent Garden Community Centre at Seven Dials. Sue is a contributing author to the recently published national Design Companion for Planning & Placemaking.

Josephine Weir MBE

Jo has been a local resident for more than 20 years and is a watercolour artist. She is Chairman of the CGCA, Chairman of the Central Westminster Police Consultative Group, on the board of the Jubilee Sports Hall, a member of the Westminster Amenity Society Forum and is on the Soho Society Executive committee. Jo was awarded the MBE in the 2012 New Year's Honours List for services to the community in London. A Trustee since 1993.
